After your visit to Thornham Field Centre to do the Geology Course you might like to follow up with some of these things:

- Look at the links to various web sites given on this site
- Make a collection of rocks, fossils etc. Look closely at their similarities and differences
- Find out about volcanoes. Look at active volcanoes such as Pompeii
- Think about cave paintings. Why were they made? Think about the paint used and the colours. Where would you go to see cave paintings?
- Soil - what is it made of? Think about the colours, texture, smell and permeability of soil.
