GEOLOGY COURSE CURRICULUM LINKS Key Stage 1 use first hand experience and simple information know that there are differences between things that are living and things that have never lived sort objects into groups on the basis of simple material properties - for example: roughness, hardness, shininess etc. recognise and name different common types of materials HISTORY place events in chronological order use common phrases related to the passage of recognise why people did things, why events happened and what happened as a result GEOGRAPHY ask geographical questions identify and describe what places are like recognise how places have become the way they are and how they are changing ART learn about visual and tactile elements, including colour, pattern and texture, line and tone differences and similarities in the work of artists, craftspeople and designers in different times and cultures KEY STAGE 2 GEOLOGY SCIENCE ask questions which can be investigated scientifically
