For schools who are coming to Thornham Field Centre for the Geology course it would be helpful if they knew a little about geology before they come.

- To know that ice melts into water
- To know that some materials solidify when cool
- To know that things change over time
- To know that words like prehistoric means thousands of years ago
- To find out about natural features e.g. mountains, rivers, volcanoes. Look at the local landscape. Can we see a mountain? Is there a local river?
- To think about prehistoric animals. Which animals were alive during the Stone Age?
- Find out about the ice age
- What happened in East Anglia in the ice age?
