Welcome to Thornham's Web Site

It is with great regret that the Trustees of the Thornham Field Centre have decided to close the school environmental education programme at Thornham from the end of the summer term 2009. For many years parties of school
children have come to Thornham to enjoy this beautiful estate, but in the current financial climate we no longer have the resources to continue this
educational work. Many thanks for all your support over the years. This decision in no way affects Thornham Walks, the Walled Garden Horticultural Project or any other project at Thornham.
If you wish to read further details please click here.

Thornham Field Centre provides outdoor education for children but there are also 12 miles of waymarked walks open to the public. Thornham Walks are managed by the Countryside Project Office, Helen Sibley and her assistant, John Loome.    Their office can be found opposite the pond, next to the Display Centre.

Follow the surfaced path to reach Thornham Walled Garden where we have plants and sometimes produce for sale, enjoy a stroll round the garden
